Item Details

This portfolio, completed by American Minimalist artist Robert Mangold in 1977, consists of nine silk screens on white wove paper. Each silk screen print has a unique geometric shape and a unique color palette, They are housed in the distinctive triangular acrylic case of Mangold's design. All nine prints in the portfolio are here and are pencil signed by the artist and numbered 100 (out of 300 produced) on the first panel . Mangold (American 1937 - ) rose to prominence in the 60s at the forefront of the minimalist and constructivist movements. He produced this portfolio as a record of his explorations of form, geometric and spatial relationships and abstraction in two dimensional space in his work in the early 1970s.
